Don’t Read This If You’re Going To Thailand

Our time in Thailand was… an experience. From the crowded chaos of Bangkok to the tourist cattle farms of Khao Sok, we found ourselves constantly battling inflated prices, gridlocked roads, and hordes of selfie-stick-wielding holidaymakers. Even the so-called “hidden gems” weren’t all that hidden.

But it wasn’t all bad – Pak Meng gave us a glimpse of what Thailand could be, Koh Kood confused us with its bizarre Russian takeover, and we even petted an otter along the way. Still, after weeks of sweaty queues, endless scams, and an unforgivable jelly-related trauma, we were ready to move on.

Would I return? Maybe – but only in search of the last remaining Pak Mengs.
